Whilst going across some interviews on « Stephen Philip Dowling », I have noticed that often the journalists asked him whether his character was inspired by Superman, and answered rather by« Terry et les Pirates ». The truth might be unconsciously any other. I have found that this character appeared in March 1940, which is three years before the creation of Garth who is curiously knownas « Blond Garth » created by Ramond Mellon on script and Jay Jackson on drawing and inking.
This appeared in « Colossus Comics de Sun Publication ».
